(AHeardSpace)6 represents an expanded iteration of the “A HEARD SPACE” initiative tailored specifically for children aged 7-12 years old.
It offers an immersive auditory encounter, allowing participants to move through the space using their entire bodies, engaging in a multi-user setup accommodating up to six simultaneous explorers. This dynamic spatial sound setting encourages deep dives lasting 1-10 minutes into distinct soundscapes, enhancing visitors’ sensory journey.
In addition, this project has incorporated a drawing activity as part of the installation. Children are encouraged to illustrate their auditory experiences by capturing what they have heard during their exploration. This activity aims to deepen their engagement with the installation and foster creativity as they translate their auditory encounters into visual expressions.
